Assembly

60 minutes – Pre-K through 3rd Grade

DSC00896The entertaining aspects of role plays with student and teacher volunteers hold the children spellbound as they learn about the power of choice in their lives.

We are all given the freedom to make daily choices from the clothing we wear and the food we eat to our grades in school and how we treat others.

When you choose to be a Bucketfiller, you bring love and happiness into your life and into the lives of others. Bullying is bucket dipping and this choice brings sadness and loneliness to your life and the lives of others. Which do YOU choose?

“Bucketfillers For Life presented a fun-filled, yet thought-provoking assembly for our K-3 students. It was meant to get the children excited about being Bucketfillers. The assembly did just that! This was a hit for all of our students, and a true gift to our school.”

Classroom Workshops

90 minutes – 4th Grade and up
(Featuring the original and powerful Why I Love and Respect You exercise)

In fourth grade and above, the students begin to examine their lives and their choices more intensely. There are many opportunities for discussion and questions as they realize their own accountability for the quality of their existence. True stories exemplifying results of choices, role-plays with student volunteers, laughter and sometimes tears lead up to the often life-changing exercise “Why I Love and Respect You”. Students, parents and teachers are deeply touched by this workshop.

“You really touched me. My mom liked it a lot too. I am going to keep filling up buckets because it makes me feel good about myself and others. You really changed my life. Now I can help change some other people’s lives.”

“This is our 3rd consecutive year with the Bucketfillers For Life program. Follow-up is crucial to make sure the message is reinforced. There is great value in BFL’s Maintenance Program, and it enables my staff to carry the message forward in between visits much more effectively.”

"Trinity Lutheran School recently underwent a transformation. In my 24 years of education, this in-service activity with the children has been most gratifying. It was incredible to read and witness the emotional and joy-filled responses from one of the exercises that were returned by our students' loved ones. I am indeed grateful, as are my staff and school families. Our hope is that Trinity Lutheran School will practice bucketfilling always."

"My 6th grader came home today and wrote the most beautiful examples of why he loves and respects his little brother. I’m not sure what kind of event you had at school today, January 28, 2009, but this truly is the most amazing experience we had at home in a long time. I just wanted to take a moment to say that it was great. My boys fight like siblings do, some days more than others. Today (my son) wrote about (his brother). (His brother) listened with tears in his eyes, sensitive to the fact that his big brother really does love him. I have to say that this is one of the most memorable events experienced at Crissman. Totally awesome! Thanks."

"We usually gauge the success of a presentation on the reaction of the faculty and students. The faculty has totally embraced the concept and will continue it throughout the year because of the effect it had on them personally. The students have reacted positively to filling each other’s bucket. We would recommend this presentation to you without any reservations."
