Teacher Orientation

60 minutes

Two of the greatest results experienced by Bucketfilling Schools are the common, uplifting language and the frequency of kind and caring acts that immediately permeate.  Most schools expand on the Bucketfilling theme after our programs are complete; we see display cases, hallways and classrooms creatively decorated as reminders to choose bucket filling, not bucket dipping.  Teachers are the ones who keep this going, so the most important and usually first step is to speak to teachers.  We do so in a way similar to the classroom workshops, and the experience for teachers is an emotional and life-changing one.

“The Teacher Orientation was a very moving experience and will help the teachers promote the Bucketfillers For Life program in their classrooms.”

In-Service Day Presentation

2.5 hours

Happy teachers, happy and safe students and respectful relationships between teachers uplift the school atmosphere, of course.  But these things also impact academics. Through learning about the two types of bucket filling, lots of participant involvement and the use of a quiz and several self-reflection exercises, this is a seminar unlike any other.  The saying “Once you know, and you KNOW you know, there’s no going back” holds true here.  This opportunity to examine your life, to choose happiness and to learn how to handle stressful situations creates powerful and lasting results.

“I wanted to thank all of you for putting together a wonderful in-service for our teachers. Thank you for all that you have done for our schools.”

Mikki Cheney, Vice-Principal
Farms Middle School, Hartland, MI

“The Bucket Filling program presented to and maintained in our school by Faith Smith has enriched our character education initiative and is a great way to relay our anti-bullying message. The positive messages have spread quickly throughout our student body, helping to increase our awareness of what it means to treat one another with respect.”

“You have a bucketfiller convert! I must admit that I was skeptical about the impact your programs would have. But this has been absolutely terrific.”

“Kelly provided an enthusiastic presentation to our students and our staff! In a school of over 1,100 students, Kelly’s presentation demonstrated that bucketfilling spirit, and our students were engaged and have been talking about Bucketfilling since! Our staff includes forty teachers in grades kindergarten through fifth grade, and the complexity of a staff of this size with varied interests did not stop Kelly! We spoke over the phone before hand, and Kelly designed a training session that treated our staff professionally, and reflected the importance of being Bucketfiller – even if you’re a grown up!’”
